What could be more romantic than staying on your own private island?
Cross the rickety bridge from the west coast mainland to this idyllic hideaway and you enter a different world - a world of luxury, seclusion - and not a little eccentricity! Run by the effusive Beppo and his charming family, this delightful island retreat offers intriguing contrasts and pleasant surprises at every turn.

The hotel building itself is a sprawling mansion, with a comfortable country house feel; whilst the relatively new leisure facilities at the Stables Spa are a testament to streamlined modernity, with a 17 metre indoor heated swimming pool, state-of-the-art gym, sauna, steam room, aromatherapy and reflexology suite - plus a rooftop terrace for leisurely lunches. There's even an "emerging" golf course, with six holes completed so far. But what really makes this place special is the child-like pleasure of wandering along secret woodland pathways and discovering rocky coves where you're unlikely to meet another soul save for a few playful otters.

Prices & Dates

Price from £316 per person for February and March 2010, and from £341 per person for April to October , based on 2 people sharing a double room, for 2 nights on a bed & breakfast basis. Morning coffee and afternoon tea are also included.

Special Spring offer - stay two nights including dinner in February and March for just £326 per person in a standard double room.

For an extra special touch highly recommend an upgrade to a private spa suite, including your own hot tub, sun lounge and garden for those romantic evenings, for £62.50 per person per night.

Your stay includes free use of the golf course and driving range, gym, sauna, steam-room and swimming pool. Massage and beauty treatments are available subject to an extra charge.

We can also organise car hire with unlimited mileage. Please ask us for a price. Cars can be collected at any convenient airport - the island is around 2.5 hours drive from Glasgow or 3 hours from Edinburgh.
