We, Robert Kidd and Heather McKinlay, established McKinlay Kidd in 2003, having had over 20 years experience working for some of the biggest names in the UK travel industry. We love Scotland, and love travelling in Scotland.
Robert's favourite experience in Scotland is collecting beaches. Some of the most beautiful, unexplored beaches in the world dot the coastline if you only know where to look: Kiloran on Colonsay, Ardalanish on Mull, Cullen on the Moray Coast, and many more on the Kintyre peninsula.
Heather loves the breathtaking views and scenery in Scotland, especially driving along remote, single track roads. The ever-changing weather means you can drive the same road time and again, yet it never looks the same: sometimes the sky is pink from a beautiful sunset, other times the water is cascading down hillside gullies, or a big, full moon is reflected in a shimmering loch.
McKinlay Kidd Ltd is a limited company registered in Scotland (see below for our company details) and based in Glasgow city centre.
We are registered with the Scottish Tourist Board (Visit Scotland) and participate with them in a number of key initiatives. We are a fully bonded tour operator, and comply with all aspects of the UK's onerous Package Travel Regulations, through our ATOL (Air Tour Operator Licence 9481) and TOPP consumer protection insurance.
