Flights

We are fully licensed to offer flight inclusive holidays, and flying to the islands is well worth considering when time is more limited. It is also a totally different experience to arrive by air, usually on smaller planes and often into intimate island airports, each with their own uniuqe character. The most unique experiences are landing on the beach - at low tide on Barra, and enjoying the world's shortest scheduled flight in Orkney (2 minutes in the timetable and sometimes less than 90 seconds in the air.

Car hire

We offer great value, fully inclusive rates from 15 locations across Scotland.

We can arrange for the right car to suit you, from the smallest run-around for shorter trips for two, to a seven seater for a family, or group of friends.

All cars are available to pick-up at a range of locations across Scotland, including airports and city centre locations.

The rates we obtain are fully inclusive, with no extras for such items as airport pickups, licensing fees etc.

We can also arrange for one way hires, if you are flying into one airport and returning from another - worth considering if your airline can offer more than airport one destination. There is usually a local charge for one way hires - around £35.

Prices are based on the market level at the time of booking- so call us, or complete the enquiry form and we will quote you the best deal available.

Special rates may apply if you are between 21 and 25 or over 65, have held a driving licence for less than 2 years, or you have any driving endorsements - call us to check.

Chauffeur Drive

We are primarily a self- drive tour organiser, but for those occasions where a licensed tour guide or even a chauffeur is required- perhaps for a day tour of the Malt Whisky trail, or for longer tours in Scotland, we can happily organise this with reliable fully licensed local suppliers.

Ferries

In terms of transport there is nothing quite like taking a trip on a ferry to get into the holiday mood and Caledonian MacBrayne has for years been the symbol of the remote and island communities of Scotland. They operate an incredibly wide network of routes, throughout the west of Scotland. Their standards of service and reliability are excellent and their vessels clean, comfortable and welcoming.

We are experts at putting together itineraries which use some of the most interesting routes in their network.

We are also delighted to be able to offer to pre-book some of their less well known day sail excursions, which offer a memorable way to see some of the best of Scotland' s western seaboard if time is short.

Public Transport

Public transport in much of rural Scotland is patchy and infrequent, and not usually suitable for the short holiday break.

However, with some expert pre-planning, it is perfectly possible to travel to some stunning and remote areas by train, especially on the famous West Highland Line, which runs from Glasgow, past Loch Lomond and then either west to Oban, or north across Rannoch Moor to Fort William, then on to Mallaig.

For the enthusiast, day trips along the whole or part of the route are perfectly feasible, perhaps even by steam train.
